On January 13, 2021, the Cumberland City Police served a Criminal Summons on John Mishow, age 53 of Cumberland, Maryland. The Summons stemmed from a January 5, 2021 theft investigation. During the investigation, officers learned that the victim had left a purse inside Mishow’s vehicle. Officers further learned that Mishow left the area with the purse and failed to return it. Officer investigating the incident recovered the belongings on January 7, 2021, however; items had been removed purse. Subsequently, officer’s applied for charges in District Court, and a Criminal Summons was issued for Mishow charging him with theft from $100 to $1500. Mishow was served with the Summons and released pending trial in District Court.
