Cumberland Man Held Without Bond After Alleged Family Assault

On 03/10/18 at 7:13pm Officers with the Cumberland Police Dept responded to a residence located in the first block of W Clement St for a report of a disturbance.

Upon arrival Officers contacted the residents who advised that 33 year old Brian Lindeman of Cumberland began causing a disturbance and then assaulted several family members. Officers observed minor injuries which did not require medical attention to one of the victims. As a result Lindeman was placed under arrest and transported to Police Headquarters.

While waiting for processing, Lindeman attempted to burn a plastic container within the processing room of Police Headquarters. As a result, Lindeman was charged two counts of second degree assault, three counts of destruction of property under $1,000, and one count of second degree malicious burning. Lindeman was taken for an initial appearance at District Court where he was held without bail pending his next court appearance.
