Cumberland Man Jailed In Cleveland Avenue Domestic Incident

On Saturday evening, officers from the Cumberland Police Department responded to the area of Cleveland Avenue for a report of a Domestic Assault.

Upon their arrival police could hear a loud disturbance. Officers contacted the victim who had a visible injury to her face. The victim stated she had an argument with her boyfriend, Brian Ducette, three days ago and he assaulted her twice, causing the injury to her face.

Another victim then spoke to the Officers and stated she had also been assaulted by Ducette which caused bruising to her face.

The suspect, Ducette, had left the residence just prior to the arrival of the Officers. The victim applied for a protective order and the Officer filed charges at the District Court Commissioner’s office.

A warrant was issued for Ducette who was later located and placed under arrest. He was transported to the Cumberland Police Department. He was later taken for the Allegany County District Court Commissioner and was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center on $30,000 bail.

Brian K. Ducette, age: 46, of Cumberland, MD

Charges: Assault: Second Degree (3 counts) and Disorderly Conduct
