Cumberland man to serve 15 years for Burglary

The Office of the State’s Attorney for Allegany County, Michael O. Twigg, State’s Attorney, announced on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, that Raymond Travis Larson, 44 of Cumberland, was convicted of First Degree Burglary in the Allegany County Circuit Court.  The Honorable Judge Jeffrey Getty sentenced Larson to 20 years in the Maryland Division of Corrections, suspending five years of the sentence. The conviction stems from a burglary which occurred at a residence on Decatur Street in Cumberland on July 10, 2017.  Larson entered the victim’s home, and stole cash, jewelry and gold coins.  During the course of the investigation it was determined that Larson had sold some of the items to a local business. The case was investigated by the Cumberland City Police and was prosecuted by Assistant State’s Attorney Erich Bean.  Larson was represented by attorney Paul Notarianni of the Public Defender’s Office.
