Cumberland Police Detail Busy Friday

A 13 year old girl has been charged with three counts of 2nd Degree Assault and one count of False Imprisonment after an incident on South Street Friday afternoon. One of the victims said that the girl had struck several family members within the residence. The girl was turned over the the Department of Juvenile Services pending a hearing in the case.

Cumberland Police served warrants on three city men Friday for failing to appear for trial. 27 year old Seth Larue missed a Circuit Court date on traffic charges and was held pending a hearing. 38 year old Andrew Seifert has missed a trial on trespassing charges, while 36 year old Samue Resnick did not show to face disorderly conduct charges.

Friday afternoon, Cumberland Police were called to the 100 block of West Oldtown Road in reference to an argument that had taken place resulting in personal property being broken. 22 year old Jerron Davis was charged with Destruction of Property under $1000 in value, and then released pending trial in Allegany County District Court.

A man impersonating a Cumberland Water Department worker is being sought after he used that identity to enter a home in the 300 block of Decater Street, and then removed several items of value from the residence. Police are looking for a clean shaven white male was wearing wearing a flannel shirt, blue jacket and a white construction hat at the time of the crime.

A city man is being held without bond after an assault on Queen City Pavement Friday. Witnesses told Cumberland Police they watched 42 year old Patrick Holden assault a woman and pulled a knife, and when they tried to intervene, he threatened them as well. The victim then confirmed the account. Holden faces a number of charges. There were no injuries.
