On October 29, 2018, officers from the Cumberland City Police Department responded to the 400 block of Goethe Street for an assault complaint. Upon arrival officers found David Mullen, age 53 of Cumberland, MD, and the female victim had been in an argument. The argument escalated and became physical at which time Mullen assaulted the victim. At the completion of the investigation, Mullen was placed under arrest for 2nd Degree Assault. Mullen was taken to the Cumberland Police Department for processing and later transported to District Court for his Initial Appearance. At the conclusion of his Initial Appearance he was released on his own recognizance.
Warrant Served
On October 29, 2018, the Cumberland City Police served a Circuit Court Arrest Warrant on Shaun A. Brooks, age 40 of Cumberland, MD. The Warrant stemmed from a Grand Jury Indictment for CDS: Possess-Not Marijuana. Brooks was later transported to the Allegany County Detention Center awaiting his appearance in Circuit Court.
