Cumberland Police Make Assault & Several Disorderly Conduct Arrests

On July 11th, 2017 at approximately 6:30 PM, officers from the Cumberland City Police Department were dispatched to a business on Greene St for an assault. Upon arrival officers spoke to the victim and learned they were assaulted at a residence located in Cumberland. The victim was choked and forced into a vehicle against their will. The victim was able to escape from the suspect at the aforementioned business. A suspect was developed along with the description of the vehicle the victim was held in. Officers located the suspect’s vehicle at a business on Centre St along with the suspect Sierra Dawn Teague. Teague was placed under arrest without incident. Teague received a hearing at District Court and was released on her own recognizance.

 

Arrested:

Sierra Dawn Teague, 28 Cumberland, MD

Charges:

Assault 1st, Assault 2nd, False Imprisonment, and Reckless Endangerment

On July 11th, 2017 at approximately 8:30 PM, officers from the Cumberland City Police Department were dispatched to the 1400 block of Virginia Ave for a disturbance. Upon arrival officers located Amber Nicole Tallman. This was the second call during the day involving Tallman. During the previous call Tallman was warned not to cause any further disturbances or she would be arrested. Tallman was yelling in a loud voice, which caused neighbors to be disturbed. Tallman was advised to stop by the officers but she did not comply. Tallman was placed under arrest without incident. Tallman is currently awaiting a bond hearing in District Court.

Charges:

Disorderly Conduct, Failure to Obey a Lawful Order, Disturbing the Peace

On July 11th, 2017 at approximately 11:30 PM, an officer from the Cumberland City Police Department was on patrol on Queen City Dr. The officer observed two males actively fighting in the street. The Cumberland City Officer with the assistance of an Allegany County Sheriff’s Deputy was able to arrest the subjects without incident. Neither subjects wanted to pursue assault charges. The suspects, Shawn Michael Crabtree and Rodney Michael McCarty Jr were transported to the Cumberland City Police Station. There they were both issued criminal citations for disorderly conduct and released pending trial in District Court.
