Cumberland Police Make VOP And Robbery Arrests

On February 7, 2019 Cumberland City Police served an arrest warrant on Holly Anne Gray Hamilton, age 28 of Cumberland, Maryland.  Hamilton was arrested and served with a circuit court warrant after she violated her conditions of probation. Hamilton was processed, served and taken directly to the Allegany County Detention Center where she was held without bail.

Charge: Violation of Probation

 

Arrest Warrant Served for Robbery

On February 7, 2019 Cumberland City Police served an arrest warrant on, Levi Neal Jones, age 20 of Cumberland, Maryland.  On February 3, 2019 officers from the Cumberland City Police Department responded to Roses Plaza located at 50 Queen City Drive, for a robbery complaint.  Once officers arrived they made contact with a female victim. During an investigation into the matter officers learned from the victim that she was walking in the area of Bedford Street and Frederick Street, when she was grabbed around her neck and arms from behind.  The victim stated that the suspect, Levi Neal Jones told her not to move and that he had a gun. The victim was instructed by Jones to empty her pockets and give him all her money. Jones was able to take $30 from the victim before fleeing on foot. The suspect was not located on the date of the incident resulting in charges being filed.  A warrant was issued by District Court. The victim in this matter did not require medical treatment. As a result of this warrant, Levi Jones was processed, served and taken before the District Court Commissioner. Jones was held in the Allegany County Detention Center without bail.

Charges: Robbery, Theft less than $100 and 2nd Degree Assault.
