Cumberland Police Make Warrant Arrests

On June 27, 2017 the Cumberland Police served an arrest warrant on Charles Wayne McDaniel charging him with 2nd Degree Assault and Disorderly Conduct.  The charges stem from an incident Cumberland Police investigated on June 22, 2017.  In that incident police responded to a residence in the 100 block of Race Street for an assault complaint.  Police learned McDaniel had assaulted a juvenile male inside the residence two different times just prior to police arrival.  Minor injuries were observed to the juvenile, which did not require medical treatment.  McDaniel was taken to the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center for treatment that was unrelated to the assault.  After being served with the warrant McDaniel was taken for a bond hearing at the District Court Commissioner’s Office where he was held on $20,000 bond.  He was taken to the Allegany County Detention Center to await his next appearance in District Court.

Charges:  2nd Degree Assault and Disorderly Conduct

Warrant Arrest

On June 27, 2017 the Cumberland Police served a Bench Warrant for Failing to Follow Conditions of Probation for an original charge of Driving without a License on Bo Allen Becker.  Becker was taken before a District Court Commissioner where he was held on a pre-set bond of $1000.  Becker posted bond and was released pending trial in District Court.

Charges:  Bench Warrant for Failing to Follow Conditions of Probation

Bench Warrant Arrest

On Saturday, Cumberland Police arrested 31 year old Chad Edward Izat on a bench warrant for failing to appear in court. He was arrested and taken before a District Court Commissioner where he was held on $5000. He was taken to the Allegany County Detention Center pending his next court appearance.

Assault Warrant

Also on Saturday, City Police served an arrest warrant on 20 year old Marica Lee York for 2nd Degree Assault and Disorderly Conduct. She was taken before a District Court Commissioner where she was released on her personal recognizance.
