Cumberland Police Make Warrant, Shoplifting Arrests

Early Sunday, the Cumberland Police served an Arrest Warrant on Malik Freeman, age 27, of Cumberland. 

The warrant was issued by District Court for Freeman’s Failure to Comply with the conditions of pre-irial  release. 

Freeman was served and taken to District Court for his Initial Appearance and was held on $5000 bond. 

 

On Saturday, just after noon, Cumberland Police responded to a business in the 400 block of Virginia Ave for a shoplifting complaint. 

Upon arrival officers met with employees who pointed out the suspect of the theft who was still on the property.  Officers then approached the suspect identifying her as Holly Caslin, age 38, of Lonaconing, MD.  Officers questioned Caslin and were able to recover the stolen property. 

Subsequently, Caslin was charged on a Criminal Citation for theft under $100 and released pending trial in District Court.
