Cumberland Police Makes Two Warrant Arrests Monday

On March 4, 2019, the Cumberland Police served an Arrest Warrant on Brittney Gunning, age 29 of Cumberland.  The Warrant charged Gunning with Contempt of Court for Violating Conditions of Probation. Gunning was taken to District Court for her Initial Appearance and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center on $500 bond.

On March 4, 2019, the Cumberland Police served an Arrest Warrant on Bruce Williams, age 22 of Cumberland.  The Warrant was issued due to the victim applying for charges against Williams in District Court.  The victim alleged that Williams created a ruse to draw him to a location.  Once he arrived at the location, Williams pointed a weapon at him, struck him in the head, and kicked him. The Arrest Warrant charged Williams with 1st degree assault and 2nd degree assault.  Williams was served with the Warrant and taken to District Court for his Initial Appearance.  At the conclusion of his Initial Appearance, Williams was remanded to the Allegany Dentition Center without bond.
