Cumberland Police Make Assault & Bench Warrant Arrests

On July 24, 2019 Cumberland City Police served an arrest warrant on Rachael Lynn McKenzie, age 36 of Frostburg, Maryland.  On May 19, 2019 officers from the Cumberland City Police Department were dispatched to the Constitution Park for an assault.  During an investigation into the matter, officers learned from the victim that McKenzie punched her in the face after the two had a disagreement.  McKenzie had left the area prior to the officer’s arrival.  As a result of this incident, charges were applied for at District Court.  McKenzie was processed, served and taken before the District Court Commissioner.  McKenzie was released on her own personal recognizance.

Arrested: Rachael Lynn McKenzie         Age: 36 of Frostburg

Charge: 2nd Degree Assault and Disorderly Conduct.

 

Domestic Assault Arrest

On July 24, 2019 officers from the Cumberland City Police Department responded to 317 Williams Street for a reported assault.  Upon the officers arrival they made contact with a female victim who was being treated by the Cumberland City Fire Department.   Officers were advised by the victim that she was helping friend inside the residence when she was confronted by Maxwell Redman.   The victim told officers that Redman grabbed her and started punching her in the face with a closed fist.  As a result of the assault Redman was placed under arrest at the scene and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department for processing.  Redman was processed, served and taken before the District Court Commissioner.  Redman was held in the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.

Charge: 2nd Degree Assault

 

Arrest Warrant Served

On July 24, 2019 Cumberland City Police served an arrest warrant on Quinton Vaughn Baker, age 21 of Ridgeley, West Virginia.  A warrant was issued for Baker’s arrest after he failed to appear in District Court on traffic related offenses.  Baker was transported to the Cumberland City Police Department for processing.  Baker was processed, served and taken before the District Court Commissioner.  Baker was held in the Allegany County Detention Center on $2,500 bond.
