Cumberland Police Serve Arrest Warrants

On 03/14/18 the Cumberland Police Dept served an arrest warrant on 25 year old Trevon Emerson of Cumberland. The warrant stems from an investigation initiated by the Cumberland Police Dept on 03/05/18 when officers responded to the 100blk of W. Oldtown Rd in reference to a domestic assault. Upon arrival Officers contacted the victim who advised that an argument ensued which turned physical. Officers observed injuries consistent with their account of the incident which did not require medical attention. Officers checked the area for Emerson and were unable to locate him resulting in the arrest warrant being issued. Emerson was transported to Police Headquarters and served the arrest warrant charging him with one count of Second Degree Assault. He was also served a Bench Warrant for Violation of Probation on an original charge of Assault Second Degree. Emerson was taken for an initial appearance where he was held on a $10,000 bail on the Arrest Warrant and held without bail for the Bench Warrant pending his next court appearance.

Arrest Warrant Served

On 03/14/18 the Cumberland Police Dept served an arrest warrant on 23 year old Jonathan Harriss of Cumberland. The warrant stems from an investigation initiated by the Cumberland Police Dept on 03/06/18 when officers responded to the 300blk of East Harrison St in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival Officers conducted their investigation into the disturbance when they observed several firearms in plain view. It was later learned that one of the residents identified as Harriss was prohibited in the State of Maryland of possessing a regulated firearm. As a result Officers applied for charges through the District Court resulting in the arrest warrant being issued. Harriss was transported to Police Headquarters where he was served the arrest warrant charging him with regulated firearm illegal possession, 2cts of illegal possession of rifle/shotgun, 4cts of illegal possession of ammunition, and obstructing and hindering. Harriss was taken for an initial appearance at District Court where he was held on a $7,500 bail pending his next court appearance.

On 10/26/17 the Cumberland Police Dept served an arrest warrant on 35 year old Justin Frazier of Cumberland. The warrant stems from an investigation initiated by the Cumberland Police Dept on 10/23/17 when officers responded to the area of Oak and Browning St for a report of a strong armed robbery. Upon arrival Officers contacted the victim who advised that they were handing another subject some currency when Frazier ripped it out of their hands and then fled the area on foot. Officers checked the area for Frazier with negative results. An Application for Charges was completed and presented before the District Court Commissioners Office resulting in the warrant being issued. Frazier was transported to Police Headquarters where he was processed and served the warrant charging him with Robbery, Assault 2nd degree, and Theft less than $100. Frazier was taken for an initial appearance at District Court where he was held on a $20,000 bail pending his next court appearance.

 

Also on 10/26/17 the Cumberland Police Dept served an arrest warrant on 35 year old Roddrick Davis of Cumberland. The warrant stems from an investigation initiated by the Cumberland Police Dept on 08/16/17 when officers responded to the 400blk of Columbia St for a report of an assault. Upon arrival officers contacted the victim who stated that a subject who they identified as Davis had came to their residence and threatened bodily harm to them while producing a knife. Officers were unable to locate Davis at this time. An Application for Charges was completed and presented before the District Court Commissioners Office resulting in the warrant being issued. Davis was transported to Police Headquarters where he was processed and served the warrant charging him with 2 counts of first degree assault, 2 cts second degree assault, 2 cts deadly weapon with intent to injure, stalking, and disorderly conduct. Davis was taken for an initial appearance at District Court where he was held without bond pending his next court appearance.
