Cumberland Police Serve Numerous Arrest Warrants

On Thursday, February 23, 2017, the Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant on Calman McKenzie.  The warrant stemmed from an incident that occurred in December of last year.  On December 18, 2016 at approximately 11:45 PM, officers from the Cumberland Police Department responded to Memorial Avenue in reference to a robbery that just occurred.  Upon the officers’ arrival, they contacted the victim who reported that she was robbed and assaulted by two male subjects, only one of whom she could identify.  The victim advised that the suspects stole $140 cash and her cell phone.  After investigation into the incident, the second suspect was identified as Calman McKenzie.  An application for charges was later filed at the District Court of Allegany County by the Cumberland Police Department and an arrest warrant was issued for McKenzie.  McKenzie was located and arrested.  He was served with the warrant and taken to the Allegany District Court Commissioner’s Office where he was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center on a $20,000 bond.

ARREST WARRANT SERVED

 

On Thursday, February 23, 2017, the Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant on Phillip McArthur.  The warrant was issued as a result of an incident which occurred on February 7, 2017.  On this date at approximately midnight, officers from the Cumberland Police Department responded to an Oldtown Rd. residence in reference to an assault.  Upon the officer’s arrival, they contacted the victim who reported that Phillip McArthur assaulted her and left the area.  The victim stated that McArthur hit her in the face and struck her with his vehicle. An application for charges was later filed at the District Court of Allegany County by the Cumberland Police Department and an arrest warrant was issued for McArthur.  McArthur was arrested.  He was served with the warrant and taken to the District Court Commissioner’s Office where he was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center on a $15,000 bond.

ARREST WARRANT SERVED

 

On Thursday, February 23, 2017, the Cumberland Police Department served two arrest warrants on Dillon Harman.  One of the warrants was a District Court bench warrant that was issued as a result of Harman failing to appear for his court case on April 5, 2016.  The other warrant stemmed from an incident that occurred in December of 2015.  A business in LaVale, MD reported that Harman stole merchandise from the store.  Charges were filed at the District Court of Allegany County and an arrest warrant was issued.  Harman was arrested and served with the warrants.  He was taken to the District Court Commissioner’s Office where he was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center on two $3,000 bonds.

ARREST WARRANT SERVED

 

On Thursday, February 23, 2017, the Cumberland Police Department arrested Javon Chase.  Chase was located in the area of Maryland Avenue.  It was confirmed that Chase had an active arrest warrant through the U.S. Marshals Service for violation of probation.  Chase was transported to police headquarters for processing and later taken to the Allegany County Detention Center to await extradition.
