Cumberland Police Serves Multiple Warrants Monday

Monday, April 22nd, 2019 the Cumberland Police Department served a fugitive warrant on Harley Donovan Brooks Jr.   The warrant was issued by Mineral County Circuit Court for failing to follow the conditions of his probation.  He was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center to await extradition back to West Virginia.

Stolen Firearm Arrest

 

On Monday, April 22nd, 2019 the Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant on Marley Zaire Powell charging him with wearing and carrying a dangerous weapon and theft.  The warrant was issued by District Court in reference to an investigation by police on April 13th, 2019 at an Avirett Avenue residence.  On that date, Powell is alleged to have broken into the residence and stolen a handgun.  He was taken before the District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center held without bond.

Arrest Warrants Served

 

On Monday, April 22nd, 2019 the Cumberland Police served an arrest warrant on Ashley Marie Cullum.  The warrant was issued by District Court for failing to appear for trial on May 10th, 2018 for failure to send child to school charges.  She was taken before the District Court Commissioner and was released on her own personal recognizance pending trial.

On Monday, April 22nd, 2019 the Cumberland Police Department served 6 arrest warrants on Heather Kaelynn Hamilton for violation of probation.  The warrants were issued by both the District and Circuit Court.  She was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center held without bond.

On Monday, April 22nd, 2019 the Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant on Alexis Victoria Yoak.  The warrant was issued by District Court in reference to an incident back on April 13th, 2019 in the 100 blk. of Arch Street where Yoak is alleged to smash the windshield of a Volkswagen Jetta.  She was charged with malicious destruction of property, disorderly conduct, and tampering with a motor vehicle.  Yoak was taken before the District Court Commissioner and released on her own personal recognizance pending trial.

On Monday, April 22nd, 2019 the Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant on Dalton Ray Brimhall for 4th degree burglary and malicious destruction of property.  Brimhall was also found to be in violation of a protection order issued by District Court at the time of his arrest.  He was taken before the District Court Commissioner and was released on an unsecured bond of $2,000.
