The Operation Safe Streets Warrant Initiative began Tuesday, May 30, and concluded Friday, June 2, 2017.
The goal continues to be making our streets safer through the reduction of open arrest warrants. The Safe Streets Operation sought citizen help in locating and apprehending individuals on open arrest warrants.
This initiative resulted in the arrest of Fourteen (14) individuals on active arrest warrants, with a total of Sixteen (16) arrest warrants being served.
This was another successful operation conducted with Officers from the Cumberland City Police Department and Deputies from the Allegany County Sheriff’s Department, together with the warrant fugitive officers, who combined their resources to reduce the number of active arrest warrants in Allegany County.
