Cumberland Traffic Stop Results In Several Charges

On 12/27/14 Cumberland Police made a traffic stop on a vehicle for a registration violation on Baltimore Street.  Police made contact with the driver, who was identified as Bryson Thomas Greene.  During the traffic stop it was learned Greene had an active warrant for Violation of Probation, as well as a suspended out of state license.  Police contacted Greene and had him step out of the vehicle.  Greene was told about the warrant for his arrest and when police attempted to take him into custody he resisted by refusing to allow officers to handcuff him.  A brief struggle occurred and police were able to take him into custody without further incident.  A search incident to arrest revealed he had hydrocodone pills on his person without a prescription.  Greene was charged with Driving on a Suspended Out of State License, Violation of Probation, Resisting Arrest, and CDS Possession Not Marihuana.  He was taken before a District Court Commissioner where he was held on $1000 for the Violation of Probation warrant and $2500 for Resisting Arrest and CDS Possession Not Marihuana charges.
