Del. Leroy Myers Honored By Allegany County Commissioners

Outgoing District 1C Delegate Leroy Myers was honored by the Allegany County Commissioners recently for his 12 years of service in Annapolis representing the area. Myers, who chose not to seek another term in the Maryland General Assembly, was elected in 2002 via one of the biggest upsets in state history when he defeated Speaker of the House Casper Taylor. The republican who is now running for a seat as a county commissioner in Washington County said that although he is from Clear Spring, he feels very much at home in Allegany County…
