Delaney Revisits Trump’s Call to ‘Ban Muslims’ from Country

In early December, Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump called for “a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what’s going on.” The comment was viewed by many as perhaps the most controversial statement coming from Trump in an election already marked by polarizing rhetoric about immigrants. Maryland Sixth District Congressman John  Delaney said that any such order shutting down the immigration of Muslims would not only be unfeasible but it would also surely violate the First Amendment.  He said he has serious concerns with such rhetoric leading to discrimination against all Muslims…
