Last night at the District A-C Candidates' Forum, the candidates were asked about the legalization of marijuana for recreational use.
Candidate Nicole Alt-Myers said that she believes recreational marijuana is a no-go and it should be addressed at the federal level:
Candidate Jordan Lysczek doesn't believe recreational marijuana should be decided by politicians, but rather by referendum:
Delegate Mike McKay said that he is 100% against recreational marijuana and one of his reasons is economic development:

As in previous generations children and teens saw their parents smoke. Then when they could they would try a used cigarette or take a fresh one and hide to try it. Our youth of this day and age will do the same thing with Marijuana. It is a bad thing. Trying to teach young adults while they are high isn’t good. How about being on the road with them? This is not a good subject other than for medical reasons.
