"One of my very first stops after announcing my run for Governor was in Western Maryland because I know just how important it is to ensure every citizen has an advocate. I’ve spent my career working to make sure all communities are supported, and that no one gets left behind.

Whether you live in Western Maryland, the Eastern Shore, Baltimore City or the Washington suburbs, I will be a Governor that fights for you. Together, we will build a Maryland that works for all of us.

The Maryland Democratic Party is strong and energized, and together, we will once again make Maryland a model of Democratic values for the nation. Thank you to the Western Maryland Democrats for your support – you already have mine.

This is a great state, I really do believe that. But I think we can make it a greater state — a Maryland for all of us.
