With loft apartments already in use and plans moving forward with a planned commercial operation- developer Michael Joy has received the 2018 “Sue Cerutti Historic Preservation” Award for his work in the restoration of the Footer Dye Works Building. The $9 million renovation houses 24 apartments and progress is being made with the Dig Deep Brewery which will be located on the first floor of the Footer building. The hope is that the building, once completely restored, can serve as an anchor tourism attraction for the region. The award was presented during the most recent meeting of the Cumberland Mayor and City Council with Historic Preservation Commission Chair Henry Bullamore doing the honors…
