Devore, Pattison Removed From County Posts

January 17th, 2019 by WCBC Radio

Allegany County's Department of Emergency Services director and Emergency Services Division chief are no longer serving in those positions. Dick DeVore, a former Allegany County 911 dispatcher who has led the department since 2011, is no longer serving in that capacity, according to communications sent to county employees by County Administrator Brandon Butler Wednesday afternoon. Robert Pattison, who was reportedly suspended several weeks ago, also was relieved of his duties as EMS division chief, according to a separate email sent Wednesday afternoon to county employees. WCBC contacted Butler who said the matters pertaining to DeVore and Pattison are personnel matters about which he "was not at liberty to comment."  The communication concerning DeVore — labeled as a confidential personnel matter — also stated that Roger Bennett has been named as acting director of emergency services until a replacement can be named.
