Although CSX has been making repairs to the Washington Street bridge throughout the summer and early fall- Cumberland City Engineer John Difonzo has doubts as to whether it will be ready to re-open anytime soon- if at all. The bridge has been closed since April when inspectors determined it was too badly deriorated to allow for traffic- pedestrian or vehicular. During Tuesday nights city council meeting, Difonzo provided an update, saying he anticipates a status report from CSX this week- but he isn’t even certain one lane can be re-opened…
