Dig Deep Brewery Not Yet Open; No Projected Start-Up Dates Have Been Announced

August 29th, 2019 by WCBC Radio

Representatives from the Dig Deep Brewing Company were on site at Canal Place this past weekend, selling beer, during the 2nd Annual River & Rails Festival. The planned permanent operation on the first floor of the Footer Dye Works building however has not yet come to fruition. No new projected start-up dates have been announced.  Robert Dettinburn, an owner of the craft brewery, has previously announced several “opening dates” for the Brewery dating as far back as early 2018- but none of those have panned out…

Perhaps because of the publicity generated by news reports- and a desire not to miss another announced ribbon cutting-   Dettinburn seems to be shying away from the media. A statement on the Dig Deep Facebook page reads as follows: “Dig Deep Brewing Co will publicize opening via Facebook, Instagram and Twitter not through any other forms of media”.

Barring any setbacks I expect to visit Dig Deep Brewery sometime late in 2019. Should problems arise I may have to set that date back to the middle of 2020, but I can promise the beginning of 2021.

Sounds like a confused and shaky effort at running a business. They got all kinds of good press that I saw. Sounds like sour grapes. Dig Deep got mad when they couldn’t get it together and are looking for a scape goat.
