Despite some frigid temperatures, a large crowd flocked to downtown Cumberland for the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in Cumberland Historic City Center. Entertainment led up to the actual tree lighting which was hosted by Mayor Brian Grim and the City Council. Shortly after the lights were turned on, kids were treated to an appearance by Santa Clause.
