Dr. Wayne Spiggle Passes

Wayne Campbell Spiggle, Jr., M.D., 85, of Short Gap, died Friday, July 31, 2020 at his home after a long illness.

Dr. Spiggle was a specialist in internal medicine and has over 25 years experience treating adults and adolescents in the Cumberland region. A past president of the Maryland State Medical Society, Dr. Spiggle co-founded Braddock Medical Group and Allegany Health Right.

At his request, his body was donated to the WVU Human Gift Registry.



A memorial service will be held at a later date. Full obituary and arrangements will follow.

The Upchurch Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

    I worked with Dr. Spiggle and Braddock Medical Group at Sacred Heart. Dr. Spiggle was a wonderful, caring physician. Also took time to speak to patients families.explaining and answering questions and was so kind and caring with his patients. He was a very smart physician and his patients got the best of care. Braddock Medical Doctors were exceptional physicians.
    Unfortunately something you don’t see today with current physicians.
    God rest his soul, prayers to his family.
