Driver in accident flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore

On Friday at approximately 1237 hours, Troopers from the Hagerstown Barrack responded to a single vehicle personal injury collision with a vehicle rollover.  A 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier was being operated by Marjorie Ruppenthal, 67, of Hagerstown, Md. west bound on US Rt. 40, ran off the north edge of the roadway, struck and embankment, and overturned.  The driver was pinned a short time until extrication was completed by Maugansville and Williamsport Fire and EMS Companies.  The driver was subsequently flown to Baltimore Shock Trauma for injuries sustained in the collision.  She is currently in stable condition according to medical personnel.  The collision is still under investigation.
