Early Voting In Allegany County Slow And Steady

Slow and steady may be the best way to describe the first few days of early voting in Maryland.  In Allegany County- despite an often times heavy rain on Saturday- Yet the voters kept trickling in — at the rate of about 10 per hour, according to some campaign volunteers. It’s the second go around for early voting in the state- thus few voters seemed particularly confused or perplexed that some of the names on the ballots were, because of recent redistricting, not the names of candidates they were used to —particularly in the sixth district congressional race. Allegany County’s Board of Election’s Administrator Diane Loibel told WCBC News that just over 100 early voters participated on the opening day…
