East Second Street Disturbance Results In Arrest

On 01/06/18 units from the Cumberland Police Department responded to E. Second Street for a disturbance.  When officers arrived on the scene they could hear a disturbance coming from an apartment.
They contacted Christopher Reed Davis, who immediately began yelling at the officers.  The officers advised Davis to stop yelling; however he continued his disruptive behavior.
When the officers attempted to place Davis under arrest, he began to struggle with them resisting the arrest.  After a short struggle he was successfully placed under arrest without further incident.  Davis was transported to the station for charges and processing, he was later transported to the District Court Commissioner’s office for his initial appearance.  As a result of the hearing, Davis was held at the Allegany County Detention Center on a $1,000.00 bond.

Christoper Reed Davis, 31 Y/O, Cumberland, MD

Charges:
Assault 2nd degree, resisting arrest, obstructing and hindering, failure to obey a reasonable and lawful order, disorderly conduct
