East Side Apt Complex Construction Could Begin Next Week

Cumberland City officials on Tuesday expect to take another action designed to lead to construction on a 40-unit apartment complex on the city’s East Side. The complex will be built on Reynolds Street at the site of the former school, which was razed in 2016. During the regular council meeting, an ordinance transferring an unnamed alley and the portion of East Street to Allegany Junction- a subsidiary of Woda Cooper Companies- is expected to be approved. The Ohio based developer is planning a four-story structure that will contain 34 two-bedroom units and six three-bedroom units.
