April 27th, 2020 by WCBC Radio

The number of COVID-19 cases at a Cumberland nursing facility jumped dramatically during the course of the past week- and has become a concern for many in the community. Fred Stratmann, spokesman and attorney for CommuniCare Family of Companies, overseeing the local Cumberland Health Care Center was a guest Friday on WCBC’s “Dave Norman Show” to discuss the latest information. The overwhelming number of confirmed COVID-19 cases were either residents or staff at the nursing facility. Stratmann said that on the plus side, after some delay, everyone at the Nursing Home has now been tested. He said the staff at Cumberland Health Care has been sensitive to the scrutiny the facility has come under since the outbreak occurred…

The staff SHOULD take this personally as one of them most likely carried the virus into the nursing home. That is, unless one of the residents spontaneously developed the virus from thin air.

The resident also had outside visitors prior to

Hmmm. Could it had possibly been a visitor who was unaware that they were effected? And if it was an employee, maybe they didn’t know they had it. Everything is not always somebody’s fault, unless maybe you’re talking about China’s Communistic government.

What is NOT being addressed is the double shifts many of the staff work at MINIMUM wage, with minimum training AND WITHOUT proper PPE equipment. The Corporations that squeeze these homes for PROFIT over decent care are the criminals here. Ask anyone that works in one.
