Fairgrounds To Host Second COVID-19 Testing Session Today

July 12th, 2020 by WCBC Radio

On Thursday, July 9, the Allegany County Health Department held its first drive-thru COVID-19 testing clinic at the Allegany County Fairgrounds. A total of 544 people were tested during the six-hour event. Results from Thursday’s clinic are pending, and individuals testing positive will be contacted by the health department as soon as the results are received.

A second drive-thru COVID-19 testing event is planned for today from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the fairgrounds. The health department notes that the first hour of the clinic will likely be the busiest, so individuals may want to come later in the day when wait times will likely be shorter.

I hope they don’t test too many people. The positive numbers will go up.
