Falsely Accused Student May Seek Legal Action

The mother of an apparent falsely accused student may end up taking legal action against the Allegany County Board of Education. Following the discovery of a note indicating a bomb threat at Fort Hill High School just a few weeks ago, school administrators ultimately identified a student after handwriting samples were analyzed.  A student was identified as the guilty party; went through the juvenile justice system and was expelled from school. Later however, the Allegany County States Attorney’s office learned that the handwriting samples were inconclusive and could not be used as evidence of guilt. State’s Attorney Mike Twigg
