It was done as an experiment, and it appears to have been successful. As a result Saturday Farmers Market will again be held at Canal Place next summer. This past April it was announced that Saturday’s Farmers Market would move from the downtown mall to Canal Place as officials strive to reinvigorate the heritage area and attract visitors to its struggling shops.
