Farrell Points to Lack of Diverse Backgrounds, Elitist Mentality at Board

October 12th, 2018 by WCBC Radio

Allegany County School Board candidate Bob Farrell was a guest on WCBC's Dave Norman Program and discussed what has turned into a quagmire of lawsuits, ethics panels, and backdoor manuevering to affect the upcoming election.  Farrell pointed to a lack of diversity when it comes to the current board members.

With governing the school system, Farrell believes the school board acts as an elitist body, and in turn runs the school system incorrectly because of it.

And just what would he add to the diversity of the board? A law suit that is draining funds from their coffers?

I notice the same thing when I visit a hospital – all the Doctors went to Medical school! Where’s the diversity?? Voters evaluate the qualifications of elected members. Obviously the voters were happy with the qualifications they saw and made their decisions.
