Bob Farrell, whose wife Lorellee passed away while serving as a member of the school board, has filed to run for a seat on the board. Farrell formerly served as chief of security for the board of education but was let go, leading to an onoing wrongful termination lawsuit. Mrs Farrell was elected to the board in November of 2016 but passed away a year later following a lengthy battle with cancer. Farrell becomes the third candidate to file for school board, joining Wesley Mason and David Bohn. As a result of Mrs Farrell's passing, there are four seats up for election on the school board this year. Incumbents Laurie Marchini and Sara Beth Bittinger have already announced they are not running again, while board member Wayne Foote remains undecided.
