WHAG TV reports one person is dead after their vehicle hit a utility pole and tree on Friday morning. Deputies with the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office got the call around 2:15 Friday morning. Law enforcement officials say Patrick Shafer of Myersville, MD was traveling northbound on Harp Hill Road in his truck, when the vehicle left the roadway and struck several fence posts along the shoulder before crossing back over both travel lanes. The truck eventually struck a utility pole and tree before coming to a stop. Shafer was pronounced dead on scene. Multiple units from Frederick County Sheriff’s Office responded. Deputies are still investigating this incident.
