The Cumberland Times News reports a female passenger was killed and a male driver injured in a single-vehicle crash early Wednesday on westbound Interstate 68 in Preston County, according to the Preston County Sheriff's Office.
The identity of the victim was not disclosed, pending notification of next of kin.
The driver, who was also not identified, was taken to an unspecified hospital following the 12:14 a.m. crash that occurred near the 16-mile marker.
Preliminary investigation determined the vehicle left the roadway and struck a road sign before striking two concrete pillar of a bridge overpass
