March 11th, 2014 by WCBC Radio

Maryland Congressman Andy Harris' office says federal authorities have contacted him about plans to audit the state's health exchange website.  The investigation is to be done by the federal office of the Inspector General.  Governor O’Malley said that Harris and the GOP are opposed to the Affordable Care Act and says that despite the  technical problems with the website, over 200-thousand Marylanders have signed up. Many state republicans have been calling for an investigation for sometime, including Harford County State Senator Nancy Jacobs. She said in an interview last week that its clear the process has been mishandled and had cost Maryland taxpayers millions of dollars.
