With the closing of the Washington Street bridge in Cumberland to vehicular traffic, we checked with Fire Chief Donald Dunn concerning the impact that may have on his department responding in that area…

Dunn tells us that response time to a fire on the west side is slower by two or three minutes due to the bridge issues.
