A fire Monday afternoon on Garrows Avenue in Cresaptown resulted in four adults and three children needing housing for the time being.
Allegany County Dispatch reports the call came in at 1:49pm, and the fire was out if 55 minutes. Route 220 was closed for a period of time for safety concerns.
Most of the units remained on the scene until around 4pm. The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s office is investigating.
The Red Cross is assisting the family with shelter needs. WCBC will have further details as they become available.
