Type of Incident: structure fire

Description of Structure / Property:  single-story single-family dwelling

Owner / Occupants:  Mary Harvey 

Injuries or Deaths:  Mrs. Harvey was transported for evaluation to Western Maryland Regional Medical Center and released.

Preliminary Cause: accidental – unattended/improperly discarded smoking materials

Additional Information:  Occupants were not displaced from the home as a result of the fire.  Damage was limited to the back porch. Occupant and neighbor extinguished the fire with buckets of water prior to fire department arrival.
