It’s Fire Prevention Week- and in Cumberland the Fire Department is working with the local chapter of the American Red Cross in seeing that anyone who needs a smoke detector can get one. Cumberland Fire Chief Donald Dunn said there are overwhelming statistics that show functioning smoke detectors save lives.
