Maryland's 2014 gubernatorial race is warming up as the first Republicans have to cast their hats into the ring. On Monday, Harford County Executive David Craig formally declared his candidacy and on Wednesday, Delegate Ron George of Anne Arundel County made his official announcement. Craig, 63, is a three-term county executive. George, 59, is in his second term in the Maryland House of Delegates. Any republican seeking statewide office in Maryland faces the chore of having to overcome a 2-1 democrat voter margin in the state.
