For almost five years, the Fairgo Half Mile at the Allegany County Fairgrounds was abandoned and at one point there was discussion of simply closing it down. That all changed last year with the return of The Greater Cumberland Raceway- complete with a new team, new promoter and a full schedule that began in March. One of those most involved in the project has been Rick Bittinger.
