Flash Flood Warning Issued For Hampshire County

The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  North central Hampshire County in eastern West Virginia...

* Until 1245 AM EDT.

* At 945 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  persistent very heavy rain across the area. Up to three inches of
  rain have already fallen. An additional one to two inches of
  rain is expected. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that may experience flooding include...
  Springfield, Green Spring, Levels, Higginsville, Points and Three
  Churches.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
