Flood Warning Activated For Allegany, Mineral & Hampshire Counties

The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
  Allegany County in western Maryland...
  Mineral County in eastern West Virginia...
  North central Hampshire County in eastern West Virginia...

* Until 145 PM EDT Sunday.

* At 742 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain that will cause
  flooding. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen and
  additional rainfall amounts around an inch are expected. This will
  cause creeks and streams to gradually rise out of their banks.

* Some locations that may experience flooding include...
  Cumberland, Frostburg, Keyser, Westernport, Bel Air, Paw Paw, La
  Vale, Fort Ashby, Lonaconing, Piedmont, Elk Garden, Kitzmiller,
  Ridgeley, Cresaptown, Potomac Park, Wiley Ford, Eckhart Mines,
  Mount Savage, Rawlings and Ellerslie.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
