The National Weather Service has a Flash Flood Watch in effect for our area until 2 PM Saturday. There have been warnings in effect in many counties in the region, and a quick downpour could do the same here.
In Mannington, WV, law enforcement is reporting several water rescues have, or are, taking place as a result of flooding. Residents of the Morgantown and Fairmont areaas awoke under a Flash Flood Warning.
Heavy rain was indicated over much of Garrrett County this morning, and the system is expected to slowly creep to the east of Allegany County by early this afternoon.
