Maryland State Superintendent of Schools Dr. Karen Salmon has approved the appointment of Jeff Blank as the permanent Superintendent of the Allegany County Public School System. The action to request state approval for Blank to have the interim label dropped was approved by the board at it’s February meeting. On Friday, Salmon approved the appointment that will be effective July 1, 2021 until June 30th 2025. Blank served as the Interim Superintendent for the 2019-2020 school year, filling the vacancy left by former Superintendent, Dr. David Cox. Blank talked with WCBC News about his priorities…
